4th of July

We had a great July 4th weekend!  The Patriotic Parade was awesome, with a ton of highly creative and decorated participants!  Many thanks to the West End Marina for their donation of 300 cooked and wrapped hot dots, and to Rita’s Italian Ices for their donation of 300 cups of Ices!

The Corn Hole Tournament was a great success, with Mike Wright and Steven Lockhardt again ruling the day.  They did lose a game this year, so they came through the losers bracket and prevailed twice against the undefeated team to retain their trophy.  Thanks to Mike and Steven for coordinating the tournament again this year.  We had 50 teams and a wait list this year, up from 36 teams last year.

If you get a chance to support these businesses, please do.  Both the Marina and Rita’s have been good corporate citizens and supported Planters Bunch for many years.  Rita’s donates ices for every event, and the Marina supports us through their hot dog donation, the use of the parking lot for the Chili Cookoff, the Christmas party, and other events.  We could not do it without them.

Enjoy the rest of your summer.  It’s hot as all get out, but the water is great, and the beaches are filled with families enjoying themselves.
