Saturday, July 1, 2023 – 10 AM
It’s time to drag out the decorations and costumes again for the annual Sea Isle 4th of July parade! The parade is open to golf carts, bikes, wagons, and walkers (but you better walk fast!).
Station 8’s Fire Truck will lead the parade around Sea Isle, starting at 10AM. The parade route will be posted later this month. For anyone new to Sea Isle, this is a great event. People go all out decorating, and it’s a lot of fun. Carts will throw candy and beads to those watching, a la the Mardis Gras parades.
If you’re willing to volunteer to help out with the cart lineups and registration by the Marina at the beginning of the parade, please send an email to plantersbunch@gmail.com along with your name and contact information, and thanks in advance! We need a few volunteers!
Trophies will be awarded for best overall, most patriotic, most original, best bike and best wagon.
There will be a 50/50 raffle ($1 a ticket, and winner splits the pot with Planters Bunch), and for all those that participate in the parade, there will be hot dogs and Rita’s ice at the pavilion when the parade is done. You need to be a participant to get the dogs and Rita’s. Sorry, there’s not enough to feed ALL of Sea Isle!
Thanks to Rita’s for their continued support and donating a ton of Rita’s ices, and to the Marina for their cash donation to support the parade.
