The West End Chili Cookoff Committee is proud to announce the availability of scholarships to the children and grandchildren of Sea Isle homeowners.
The application and instructions for the scholarship are on this page. Children and grandchildren of Sea Isle homeowners, whether full- or part-time, are eligible. Student candidates must provide proof of ownership or residence. A property deed, proof of homeowners insurance, or property tax records will suffice. Students may apply for consecutive years throughout their higher education; there is no limit to the number of years they may apply.
Scholarship funds can be used for expenses such as tuition, books, transportation, etc., at the student’s discretion. Funds will be awarded directly to the winning student(s). Prize(s) shall be awarded based on academic criteria (GPA) and the applicants’ community service. Applicants shall write an original essay of no fewer than 300 or more than 500 words, detailing their community service. The essay should explain why community service is important and how the student has made an impact on the community (at home, at school, or otherwise) through their service.
