Today’s Planters Bunch meeting featured a presentation by a group from the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, and one active duty Coast Guard member.
Paul Brown was the main presenter, and went over the various responsibilities of the USCGA, and what they can do for us, as civilians.
The Auxiliary is not a law enforcement branch, they cannot write tickets. They can inspect your boat and tell you what you need to do to be as safe as possible, and comply with the local boating laws.
The fishing tournament scheduled for this morning was canceled last night due to the possibility of inclement weather. Of course, Mother Nature had other ideas and today dawned a beautiful day.
