Planters Bunch held its August 2021 meeting in the Fire Station. We had quite the turnout for Marie Robb to talk about the new golf cart regulations. We had a few guests from Terramar show up, too.
Marie said it looks like Sea Isle will be considered a Master Planned community, and as such will not be required to have seat belts, turn signals, a horn, and brake lights. We will be required to get the red sticker annually from Galveston, and have a license plate. We may be subject to an annual inspection, as well. This is subject to change and not to be relied upon as a legal opinion. You should verify this information for yourselves before acting on the new ordinance.
The license plate can be purchased from the Tax Assessor Collectors office, which is located in the Courthouse. It fools you a little bit in that there is no signage indicating the Tax office is in the courthouse, at least that I could see. It’s on 21st Street.
Marie asked anyone that can show up to the Galveston council meeting on August 12th. The more support she gets from the citizens of the 6th District, the more she can fight for us.
